Imagine: a crackling open fire, a glittering Christmas tree, outside a landscape covered in snow, a hall full of people abound with Christmas cheer and a great sounding women’s band in festive dress, playing jazzy Christmas songs for you.

Under the name of ALICE IN WINTER WONDERLAND the well known jazz formation Alice in Dixieland brings you a diverse and festive Christmas programme. You will hear the dynamic and tasteful brass arrangements and inspirational solo’s interchanged with wonderful harmonies a la the Andrew Sisters which makes up the unique Alice-style. The band takes timeless Christmas songs such as “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer”, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” and of course “Winter Wonderland” and adds the magic of their own unique sound.

The band is full of fun and humour which radiates from the stage. The energetic and professional performance of this six piece women’s band will please the listening audience as much as it will those who love to dance. Therefore Alice in Dixieland is as much at home playing for a big party, a dinner dance or at an outdoor festival, as it is in the intimate jazz club like atmosphere of a private party.
